Mariel Jimenez is a writer and editor living in New York City. She writes about beauty, food, lifestyle, and inspiration.

She has worked in the beauty and fitness departments of Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, and OK! Magazine Philippines, and has covered media events in London, Milan, Manila, Tokyo, Singapore, and more. Her first publishing job in New York City was at Harper's BAZAAR, where she was assigned in the marketing department for international titles. Her love for both food and print media culminated in her "Milk Chocolate and Marshmallow Cornflake Cookie" recipe being featured in the book, One Big Table: A Portrait of American Cooking [Simon & Schuster], written by former New York Times food columnist Molly O'Neill. Mariel has also co-authored and edited the fitness handbook, The Official Guide to Zapping the FRESHMAN 15 [Xlibris].

With an extensive background in editorial and publishing, Mariel continues to hone her writing and editing skills through her work in the beauty industry—encompassing color cosmetics, haircare, and skincare. In recent years, she has worked as a proofreader, copy editor, and copywriter for lifestyle and beauty brands including J.Crew, Starwood Hotels (Luxury Collection), Unilever (Pond's), Avon (mark.), and Laura Geller Beauty. She currently holds the position of senior copywriter for the haircare brand, Moroccanoil®.

Mariel is also a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200®) with Yoga Alliance and she writes the blog, NY Minute Now.
